Pěstování a zaštipování růží
Milovníci růží nemusejí růže okukovat pouze na výstavách. Růže si můžete vesele pěstovat i na vlastní zahrádce. A jak správně na to? Dočtete se níže.
Nejdříve je nutné zvolit si ideální stanoviště. Růžím se daří na vzdušném a slunečném stanovišti, chráněném před větrem.
Výsadba růží a spon
Vhodnou dobou pro výsadbu nekotejnerovaných růží je březen až duben - tedy než začně růže rašit, a také od října do zámrazu. Při výsadbě růží je důležité dodržet spon výsadby, která je u jednotlivých druhů následující:
• miniaturní růže – 30 centimetrů (11 ks sazenic/na 1 m2)
• mnohokvěté a velkokvěté růže – 45 centimetrů (5 ks sazenic/1 m2)
• půdopokryvné růže a vzrůstné velkokvěté – 50 centimetrů (4 ks sazenic/1 m2)
• slabě rostoucí mnohokvěté růže – 40 centimetrů (6 ks sazenic/ 1 m2)
• pnoucí růže – na vzdálenost 1,2 až 2 metry
• sadové růže slabě rostoucí – na vzdálenost 1 metru
• stromkové růže – na vzdálenost 1 metru
Pěstební substrát
Pro výsadbu používáme kvalitní kompostovou zeminu nebo speciální substrát pro růže. Růže nevysazujeme do substrátu po přestárlých nebo uhynulých růžích. Doporučený substrát pro růže by se měl skládat z 1 dílu kompostové zeminy, 1 dílu písku a
Zálivka
Růže nesnáší přemokření, proto se nejprve prsty přesvědčte, zda-li je pěstební substrát suchý a poté růži opatrně zalijte. Větší vlhkost také podporuje vznik houbových chorob a rzí na růžích. Vhodná dobou pro zalévání růží je časné ráno nebo podvečer, protože rostliny nejsou vystaveny přímému slunečnímu záření.
Hnojení
Přihnojování růží není nutné, bohatě postačí jednou za dva měsíce, nejlépe v červenci.

Množení
Druhým, taktéž velice jednoduchým způsobem množení růží je hřížení. V předjaří ohněte jeden z vámi vybraných, silných výhonů do země tak, aby vrchol směřoval vzhůru.
Další osvědčenou metodou je dělení. Dělence ihned hrnkujte do připravených květináčků.
Velmi známé je také rozmnožování pomocí řízkování, kterým lze rozmnožit téměř všechny druhy rostlin. Dřevité řízky získejte z silných, matečních a zdravých růží v podzimním nebo na začátku zimního období. Nejlepší dobrou pro zakořenění řízků není jaro, ale červen - červenec. V tyto měsíce řízky rychle zakoření. Jarní řízky (březen-duben) zakořeňují hůře, ale za to jsou lépe připraveny na zimu. Vždy používejte výhony s minimálně třemi až pěti pupeny, můžete je třeba přikrýt i skleněnou lahví, abyste si byli jisti, že výhonek nevymrzne. Nevýhodou řízkování je větší časová náročnost.
Řez růží
Chcete-li aby vám růže krásně kvetly, musíte je každoročně řezat. Řez růží podporuje nejen bohaté kvetení, ale i úspěšné přezimování. Každý druh růží má jiné pravidla správného řezu:
- polyanty se řežou na 2 až 3 očka ponechaná očka
- čajohybridy na 3 až 4
- velkokvěté floribundy na 4 až 6 oček, atd
- floribundy na 5 až 7 oček, atd...
Důležité je také zastřihávání planých výhonů, na rostlině by se mělo nechat pouze pár mladých silných výhonů.
